On May 24, 2024, Representatives John James (MI-10) and Susan Wild (PA-07) introduced the bipartisan Protecting America’s Working Dogs (PAW) Act in Congress. The legislation aims to address the lack of clear federal guidelines concerning the fate of federal working dogs after retirement.
