Clinton River Watershed Council announces events for River Day celebration

The Clinton River Watershed Council (CRWC) invites the community to appreciate and celebrate the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair on June 8, 2024. CRWC aims to highlight the efforts of local citizens, organizations, and communities contributing positively to the watershed.

Activities scheduled for the event include nature hikes, canoe trips, fishing derbies, fly fishing lessons, storm drain stenciling, river clean-ups, habitat restoration, and native landscaping.

For detailed information about these activities and other outdoor events throughout June, CRWC has published a River Day Event Guide.

Scheduled Events:

- Paddlepalooza: June 1 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM

- Weekly Clean at Heritage Park: June 5 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Events on June 8:

- CRWC Watercress Pull: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

- Clinton Township Fishing Derby: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

- Village of New Haven River Day: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

- Ray Township River Day: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

- Art Fish Fun Festival: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

- Auburn Hills Annual Fishing Derby: 8:00 AM –10:00 AM

- Clinton River Cleanup :2 :0PM -4 :0PM

-Wetland Wander at Lake St. Clair Metropark :10 :0AM -11 :30AM

-Lost Lake Open House -Fishing :12 :0PM -3 :0PM
