Rep. John James has announced the allocation of $25.7 million in Community Project Funding for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District, with a total of $48.2 million designated for the entire state. My team and I have worked hard to secure funding for critical infrastructure in my district and have secured funding for the Soo Locks, which is vital to our local economy in southeast Michigan."
The funding includes $22,423,000 for a new Soo Lock in Sault Ste. Marie and other significant allocations such as $500,000 for Clinton River Disposal Facility for the USACE and $1,755,303 for Sewer Separation of the St. Clair Shores Martin Drain.
Additional projects funded include:
- $1,120,000 for South River Multi-Use Path
- $7,400,000 for Clinton River Road Corridor Improvement

- $3,500,000 for Cherry Street Mall Project
- $1,000,000 for City of Warren ADA Compliance
- $1,500,000 for Activities Center and Site Improvements
- $2,000,000 for Macomb Combined Sewer Overflow Elimination Project
- $3,000,000 for Next-Gen Electrification Testing and Standard Facility
James expressed pride in delivering these funds to his district: "These grants will go toward projects important to our national security; economy; sanitation; transportation; and quality of life. I’m proud to be delivering for my district and look forward to continuing to serve its priorities."
