Warren Mayor James Fouts requests that Warren residents who are having issues with their mail delivery contact him.
Fouts plans to have another conversation with the postmaster.
"My previous discussion with the postmaster was that all mail goes to Topeka, Kansas, and when they have a COVID-19 outbreak or some other complication, that delays mail delivery by days and even weeks," Fouts said on the City of Warren's website. "I have accepted that explanation to a point, but now with the continuous inconsistency of mail delivery, I have decided to delve more deeply into this to see if there is any way mail delivery could be improved."
So far, Fouts has received complaints about not receiving packages or medication in a timely manner. Some are concerned that their unemployment and other benefit checks will not arrive on time. Other residents have reported not getting any mail delivery for days, sometimes weeks. This is the most common complaint.
Residents who have concerns about mail delivery should email their complaint, along with their name, phone number, address, and zip code, to mayor@cityofwarren.org.
