Rep. John James, who represents Michigan’s 10th District in the U.S. Congress, has recently taken to social media to discuss issues ranging from border security to federal spending.

On July 17, 2025, Rep. James expressed concerns about the situation at the northern border and questioned American expenditures on Canadian security. He stated, "Smoke, fentanyl and foreign criminals have poured across our northern border and Canadians have their “elbows up” while President Trump generously scrambles jets to defend Vancouver.
