Today, Congressman John James from Michigan's 10th District expressed his support for the recently passed H.R.1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Following the vote, James released a statement outlining his reasons for backing the legislation.
"Today I voted yes on the One Big Beautiful Bill — because it delivers on the promises President Trump and Republicans made in 2024," he stated. He emphasized that the bill aims to reduce taxes on tips and overtime, safeguard Social Security, revitalize American manufacturing, and halt benefits for illegal immigrants and able-bodied adults who refuse to work.
James highlighted that the bill's provisions focus on securing borders, boosting economic strength, and fulfilling commitments to Americans. "It’s simple: America first. Always," he concluded.
