Rep. John James, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 10th District since 2023, recently shared several updates on his legislative activities and community engagements through social media.

On June 3, 2025, Rep. James emphasized the need for enhanced online protection for children. He expressed gratitude to the Digital Child Alliance for hosting a discussion on this topic and highlighted the significance of the App Store Accountability Act, which he co-sponsored with Senator Mike Lee. This legislation aims to "protect our kids and empower parents".

The following day, June 4, 2025, Rep. James addressed the opioid crisis by announcing that his bipartisan "Road to Recovery Act" was included in the SUPPORT Act. He described fentanyl as "a scourge on our nation" and expressed satisfaction that his legislation reauthorizes essential resources for combating opioid addiction and substance abuse.

On June 5, 2025, Rep. James attended a groundbreaking event hosted by ABC Michigan in Sterling Heights. John James was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1981 and currently resides in Farmington Hills at age 41.
