Rep. John James, a U.S. Congressman representing Michigan's 10th District since 2023, has recently shared his thoughts on several national observances through social media posts. Born in Detroit in 1981 and currently residing in Farmington Hills, the 41-year-old congressman expressed gratitude and support for various groups within his community.

On May 15, Rep. James acknowledged #PoliceWeek2025, encouraging others to "join me in saluting the countless officers that risk their lives to protect us and our families, as well as honor those we have lost in the line of duty." He emphasized his unwavering support for law enforcement officers by stating, "Our law enforcement officers are heroes and I will ALWAYS."

The following day, May 16, he turned his attention to education during National Charter Schools Week. In a post made on this date, Rep. James highlighted the importance of investing in education by stating "we must continue to recognize the importance of investing in the next generation of Michiganders!" As a co-sponsor of the Educational Choice for Children Act, he reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every student has access to quality education.

On May 17, Rep. James marked #ArmedForcesDay with a tribute to military personnel and their families. He posted "Freedom is not free." He thanked those who serve by acknowledging their sacrifices: "We are eternally grateful for their service and the sacrifice of military families."
