Mayor Lori M. Stone has authorized an extension for the Sanitation Division's curbside compost and yard waste pickup until Friday, December 13, 2024. Residents are reminded to place all yard waste, including grass clippings, leaves, garden or flower bed debris, and small brush, in the designated blue 95-gallon compost cart with a brown lid or in 30-gallon biodegradable brown paper bags. The collection will occur on scheduled collection days.

The Warren Recycling Center, located at 25801 Flanders Ave., accepts compost year-round. For further guidelines and information regarding the service, residents can visit the City of Warren's sanitation division website.

The announcement of the extension was initially posted on the City of Warren's platform under "Compost Pick-up Extended."
