WASHINGTON, D.C. - On June 21, 2023, Representative John James (MI-10) released the following statement after voting to censure Adam Schiff and hold him accountable for his abuses of power during his tenure as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence:

“Today, I voted to pursue a censure of Rep. Adam Schiff. Michigan’s 10th Congressional District elected me to support good governance and restore accountability in our government. Adam Schiff exploited his official position as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and is an example of why nobody trusts Congress anymore. This censure is a necessary action to hold him accountable for his abuses of power and is one step towards restoring trust in our broken institutions.”
