The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) recently announced its 2021-22 Academic Awards and Macomb Community College was once again well-represented with 37 student-athletes earning Academic All-Conference and/or Academic All-MCCAA honors for their accomplishments in the classroom.
Baseball led the way with 16 student-athletes receiving academic honors, followed by softball with 12, women's basketball (5), cross country (2), men's basketball (2), women's volleyball (2).
In addition to the individual honors, three Monarch programs earned the distinction of becoming a MCCAA All-Academic Team (softball, volleyball and women's cross country) after posting team GPA of 3.0 or above over the course of the 2021-22 academic year.
