I delivered my 2022 State of the City Address to a sold-out crowd at the Andiamo Showplace.  In the address, I highlighted the great things happening in the city of Warren.  The attached video spotlights several of the highlights including:

  • The fact that Warren now has the highest assessed value of industrial property of any city in the state of Michigan.
  • Warren is driving forward with business investment in the city:
    • General Motors investing hundreds of millions in a new Battery Innovation Center at the Tech Center
  • Graphex – Another new battery innovation development.  $78 million redevelopment
  • North Point Development at 9 Mile and Mound — $230 million redevelopment
  • Gardner White – taking over former Art Van facility on 14 mile between Van Dyke and Mound.
  • New business development is allowing new civic investment in two new fire stations on the south side of the city.
  • The Warren Waste Water Treatment plant has used innovative strategies to clean up our water and help in tracking COVID.
