State of the Township Address 2022

Mic gee3e0d49e 1280

Clinton Township issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.

Township Supervisor Robert Cannon and the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce extend an invitation to area residents to attend the 2022 State of the Township Address at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library, located at 40900 Romeo Plank Road on Friday, January 28, 2022.

“Last year, because of the pandemic, it was necessary to give the address virtually,” said Cannon. “It worked out well, but I always prefer to speak to people in person, so I’m happy we’re back at the Clinton-Macomb library with the Macomb County Chamber hosting like they always have,” he said.

Cannon went on to say he is proud of the Township staff for their work after the pandemic began in preparing the Civic Center to receive visitors wishing to do business in person.

“Going the extra mile is our theme for this year’s address because Clinton Township residents need to know that our staff went above and beyond to establish a clean and safe environment and continue to do so as COVID remains an issue,” he said.

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the program at 8 a.m. Admission is $25, and tickets are available through the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce website at macombcountychamber.com or by calling 586-493-7600.

Clinton Township Media Services will stream the address live on clintontownship.com. The link to access the livestream will be available through the Latest News feature on the website’s homepage.

In the afternoon on January 28 and for several weeks after,  Clinton Township Television (CTTV) will rebroadcast the address in its entirety on Comcast channel 5, WOW channel 10, and AT&T channel 99. Also, viewers can watch the State of the Township Address on CTTV’s YouTube channel at YouTube.com/CTTV.
