Dear Warren Mott Community, Several hours after school started , OK2SAY notified Warren Mott High School that they received an anonymous tip that a student posted a threat on Twitter directed at the school. Working with the Warren Police, our investigation could not substantiate anything specific, including whether or not the student attends the school. Also, OK2SAY indicated that they could not locate anything on Twitter to substantiate the threat.

Given the timing of when we received the information, the WCS Security & Crisis Management Team engaged the Warren Police who provided an increased presence at the school for the remainder of the day, and we cancelled all after school activities out of an abundance of caution.

At no time did we have any information that this threat was credible, and I appreciate the continued support of the Warren Police.

If you have any questions, please contact the school.

Sincerely, Robert D. Livernois, Ph.D. Superintendent
