Warren church will be celebrating a new pastor this Saturday from Norway and formerly of Ethiopia. Participating in the official ceremony for Pastor Hunde will be Warren Mayor Jim Fouts and former Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Carl Maringa. Both Fouts and Marlinga were initially helpful in making his admittance to America possible. Helpful was also U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. The event begins at 2:45 PM on Saturday, December 17 at Christ Lutheran Church in Warren, located at 32300 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088.
Tsegayesus Hrisa Hunde and his wife Hana with their three boys will now make Michigan their new home. Hunde a Norwegian Ethiopian Pastor decided to pursue a new life by choosing a church in Warren to continue his pastoral mission. Mark Woy of the Warren Christ Lutheran Church reached out to Mayor Fouts to help overcome bureaucratic hurdles of coming to America.
Pastor Hunde will make Michigan his new home after traveling from Oslo, Norway, and before that from his native home in Ethiopia. He came from a small place in Ethiopia called Kera. His wife comes from a large city known as Addis Ababa the capital of Ethiopia. Both of them begin a new life far away from both Ethiopia and Norway!
This international event will celebrate coming to America for the Pastor and his family!
Sincerely,
Mayor Jim Fouts
