Warren Consolidated Schools issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
Career Preparation Center students Frank Fantin and Yousif Korkees, and business partner Shannon McIntosh were recently named the Macomb Career and Technical Education Administrators Association (MCTEAA) award winners for the 2021-22 school year.
Fantin, a senior at Cousino High School, is part of the Radio & Television Broadcasting classes. He has hosted numerous live radio shows on 89.1 FM, created an archive channel for WPHS with past program videos, and has been instrumental in live streaming to the Radio & Television program’s YouTube channel.
Korkees, a senior at Sterling Heights High School, is a second year student in the Graphic Design program. Korkees is a photographer in his spare time and has a dream to become a professional photographer and work in the design field. He is currently working with a photographer to learn the business, as well as editing photos, using the skills he is learning in Graphic Design class.
McIntosh, employee with Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union, is the CPC’s Business Partner of the Year. McIntosh has provided critical partnerships for the business students at Cousino High School. She has helped to develop student employability skills by conducting professional interviews with students and has provided students with reality fair assistance to develop their budgetary skills.
