City of Warren issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
Great news! New development for south Warren at the old 9/Mound GM Transmission plant by offering a Brownfield Redevelopment Resolution for the council agenda this Tuesday, January 25.
This will be an investment of $180,000,000 to go toward cleanup and development. This old eyesore will be turned into 2,000,000 sq. feet of new commercial and industrial space. This will provide up to 600 jobs. It will likely be the home to either an international or national company. This is transformational for this area of Warren taking a blighted building creating jobs and income for the city. Big companies are interested in this development. After the $28,000,000 cleanup, there will be at least $152 million for new development. This is a great public purpose for the taxpayers of Warren! North Pointe Development of Kansas City is the developer.
