Warren Consolidated Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
As we look ahead to the start of school on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, with a half-day in the morning for all students, below is some additional information:
A set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) addressing masks, quarantining, and other Covid-19 related issues are included with this letter. The current health requirement is that UNVACCINATED students and staff who are exposed to Covid-19 must quarantine for 10 days.
To help your children avoid quarantine, you may upload a copy of their vaccination card at https://tinyurl.com/59uhs2cz, which is a secure site. Although not required, proof of vaccination will help them avoid quarantine and keep them in school. This too will apply for students under 12 years old as soon as the vaccine is available.
To have your children attend our Virtual Academy, we have re-opened the registration window until Monday, August 23, 2021, at 4:00pm.
Please register at https://www.wcskids.net/documentdepot/View/View2.aspx?ID=100427
We were notified this week that masks are REQUIRED for students and staff while riding on our school buses according to federal rules from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). This is a change from what I reported last week.
Our Open Houses will be done virtually like we did last year. Look for information from your school. Also, I have included our school start times again as there is a minor change to the end of the school day for some of our elementary schools.
I will continue to update you on changes that affect our schools and adjust as necessary. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school. Thank you for your continued support!
