Warren Consolidated Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
Welcome Back! I hope you are enjoy your summer. We have been very busy the past several weeks with students in our summer programs, and we look forward to the return of in-person learning this fall.
Our first day of school is Tuesday, August 31,2021,with a half-day in the morning for all students. Below is important information to help you prepare for the year:
-Masks will be optional for ALL students, staff, and visitors both indoors, outdoors, and on our school buses. 1 encourage you to review with your child whether or not you want them to wear a mask. WCS willcontinue to supply masks and hand sanitizer in our schools and on our buses, especially since it is strongly recommended that masks be worn indoors.
-A though masks will be optional, we are still required to quarantine those who are exposed to or test positive for the COVID-19 virus. The length and duration of a quarantine will depend on a person's vaccination status and the timing and onset of symptoms. If you have any questions regarding COVID-19 or anything health related, please email wcshealth@wcski ds.net.
- To support our community, , Wednesday, August 11,2021,from 12:00pm- 2:00pm,the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available at Cousino High School for ALL eligible students 12 years or older, parents, and staff. You must pre-register for the vaccine at wcskids.net.
- Athletics will follow guidance for COVID-19 related issues from the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).
