Warren Consolidated Schools issued the following announcement on July 20.
WCS offers a host of Community Food Resources for families. See below for a schedule of dates, times, and locations for Meet Up and Eat Up, Gleaners Food Truck, USDA Farmers to Families, Best Food Forward Mobile Pantry, plus many more throughout the month of July.
Meet Up and Eat Up - Pick up a hot or cold packed lunch & a prepackaged breakfast for the next day at Cousino High School-11:30-1:00pm, Sterling Heights High School-11:30-1:00pm, and Warren Mott-11:00am-12:00pm.
Gleaners Food Truck - Gleaners will be providing free lunches from their mobile food truck at Holden Elementary School-11:50am-12:10pm, and Siersma Elementary School-12:25pm-12:45pm.
USDA Farmers to Families - Woodside Bible Church, 27300 Hoover Road, Warren MI 48093 will be distributing a USDA Food Box to provide fresh and wholesome food to our families-11:00am-1:00pm.
Free Produce Box Program - No contact delivery - Stay in your vehicle, produce boxes will be placed in trunk at Flynn Educational Center-9:00am-11:00am.
Gleaners Free Food Distribution - Gleaners Community Food Bank will be providing 30 pounds of groceries—Items like milk, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and other shelf-stable items at Flynn Educational Center-2:30pm-4:30pm. Gleaners-SFSP - Gleaners will distribute food at Faith Lutheran Church of Troy, 37635 Dequindre, Troy and First United Methodist of Warren, 5005 Chicago Road, Warren-9:00am-12:00am.
BFF-Mobile Pantry - The Best Food Forward Pantry Program provides nutritious, healthy food for 100+ families at no cost at Holden Elementary School-9:00am12:00pm.
